I am using this page to give special thanks to the creators of the wordpress plugins I am currently using on this site. This page will be updated as I find new plugins or stop using old ones.

1. Akismet: Akismet is a pretty intelligent (for a computer) spam filter that filters out spam comments. Unfortunately, this has been made necessary due to the overwhelming majority of spam comments over real comments I receive.

2. Digg Digg: I use digg digg to place a button on each of my posts reminding people to digg or reddit my posts. Although I haven’t had too much luck with this yet, I hope it helps me get more diggs or reddits in the future, when I get more visitors.

3. Random Quotes: Since I’m a fan of randomness, this amuses me. Although not an essential, it randomly selects one of my favorite quotes from my database and displays it so I have some variety.

4. Inline Javascript Plugin: For those of you who don’t know this, wordpress doesn’t allow you to use javascript in your posts. Although I don’t use this often, I have it so that I have the option of including javascript in my posts if I need it in the future.

5. Random Image Widget: This is what I use to display the random images I have on my sidebar. I think this plugin is very useful for personal blogs.

6. Wordpress Stats: This is a useful plugin for stats, even though the data collected is rather simple. If I just want a quick overview, I check these stats instead of my google analytics data.

7. Yet Another Related Posts Plugin: Since I’ve started using this plugin, my bounce rate has greatly decreased. It is great at detecting related posts that readers may want to read, so that everyone is more likely to read more than one post on my blog.

8. Wordpress Popular Posts: I started using this plugin recently, but it seems to be a little buggy. I currently have it display my posts with the highest average daily views, but the counter seems to be really far off with way numbers than views I actually get.
